As the founder of MAVCO Financial (established in 2024), Christopher (Chris) May oversees the growth and strategy of the firm. He has been in the financial advisory business for 8 years. In previous roles, Chris has held titles of "Financial Services Intern", "Customer Service Representative", "Retirement Plan Services Representative", "Financial Advisor", and now "Owner & Financial Advisor".
Chris enjoys breaking down complex financial topics into easy-to-understand solutions for clients. Chris' passion lies in creating custom financial plans & managing client portfolios. He currently holds his Series 7, Series 66, & Life & Health license as well as the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation.
Born into a military family, Chris moved around early in his life. South Dakota, Louisiana, and finally Omaha have all been considered “Home” at one point in his life. Chris spent his younger years playing many sports and participating in Boy Scouts, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and won Nebraska Eagle Scout of the Year in 2013.
Chris went on to graduate from Wayne State College in 2017 where he completed his degree in finance while playing on the Wildcat baseball team.
Chris has been married to his wife Kendall since 2019 and they have two young kids - a son named Maverick and a daughter named Collins. Maverick and Collins are the namesake for MAVCO Financial. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, playing a round of golf, trying craft beers, working on house projects, and grilling burgers.
Chris volunteers his time every Friday through the Teammates program, where he meets with a 6th grader in Ralston Public Schools. He also volunteers annually with the "Rally Fore a Cure" golf tournament to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
